One bright night, a bunny named Benny had a great idea. “I’ll build a kite and make it take flight!”
He worked all night with all his might, tying sticks just right and making it light. “What a sight!” he said with delight.
But when Benny tried to fly his kite, the wind was too strong. “Uh-oh… this might not go right!”
The kite pulled tight, and—whoosh!—Benny held on too tight and went soaring to a great height! “What a fright!”
A wise old owl saw Benny’s plight. “You’re holding too tight! A little lighter would be just right!”
Benny listened, let go a little, and floated down light as a feather. “Alright! That was quite a night!”
From that night on, Benny decided—no more flights! Just fun, games, and kites that stay in sight.

ある明るい夜、ベニーという名前のうさぎがすばらしいアイデアを思いつきました。

「たこを作って、空に飛ばそう！」
He worked all night with all his might, tying sticks just right and making it light.
彼は一晩中、一生けんめい働きました。木の棒をちょうどよくしばり、軽く作りました。
“What a sight!” he said with delight.
「すごいぞ！」と彼はうれしそうに言いました。
But when Benny tried to fly his kite, the wind was too strong.
でもベニーがたこを飛ばそうとしたとき、風が強すぎました。
“Uh-oh… this might not go right!”
「やばい…うまくいかないかも！」
The kite pulled tight, and—whoosh!—Benny held on too tight and went soaring to a great height!
たこはピンと張り、そして――ヒューン！ベニーはつよくつかんだまま、高く舞い上がってしまいました！
“What a fright!”
「うわっ！こわいよ！」
A wise old owl saw Benny’s plight.
かしこい年とったフクロウが、ベニーのピンチを見ていました。
“You’re holding too tight! A little lighter would be just right!”
「つかむ力が強すぎるよ！もう少し軽くすればちょうどいい！」
Benny listened, let go a little, and floated down light as a feather.
ベニーはその言葉を聞き、少し手をゆるめました。すると、羽のようにふわりと下へおりました。
“Alright! That was quite a night!”
「よし！すごい夜だったな！」
From that night on, Benny decided—no more flights!
